Hallo Forum.

Das Embedded Gateway Linux eines IGW/100 bietet eine sehr einfache Möglichkeit, um die Antworten auf einen Ping zu unterdrücken. Durch die Eingabe:

echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/icmp_echo_ignore_all

wird die Antwort auf Ping-Anfragen ausgeschaltet (ICMP echo off = no ping response). Die folgende Eingabe:

echo 0 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/icmp_echo_ignore_all

schaltet die Antwort auf Ping-Anfragen wieder ein (ICMP echo on = ping response). Das ist auch der default-Zustand.

Beide Kommandos können nur mit root-Rechten ausgeführt werden.

Eine solche Kommandozeile kann auch in autostart.sh abgelegt werden. Dann wird sie bei jedem Bootvorgang automatisch ausgeführt.
