VPN Remote Access Gateway IGW/925 with 4-Port Switch

With the IGW/925 any Ethernet based devices, subsystems and automation components in switch cabinets or complete subnetworks can be integrated very easy into a VPN (Virtual Private Network). This enables the complete secure remote access via Internet.

Therefor the IGW/925 offers many integrated security functions like SSL, SSH, a TCP proxy server and a firewall, which protect a local automation Ethernet network from unauthorized external access. Through the two LAN interfaces the protected device or LAN is completely isolated for external access.

ADNP/9200 as Embedded Engine

The heart of the IGW/925 is the  DIL/NetPC ADNP/9200 with a 32-bit ARM9 processor and 180 MHz clock speed. With the Embedded Gateway Linux (Kernel version 2.6 with special extensions) and the provided GNU tools own applications can be developed and added. Moreover the software functions are extendable with IP-based protocols.

Operation as GPRS or UMTS/HSPA Router

The IGW/925 is delivered on demand with a GSM/GPRS (IGW/925-G) or a UMTS/HSPA (IGW/925-U) modem. The required antenna is connected with an SMA-HF-plug with the case front. The SIM card holder is located inside the case.

Proxy Functions for FTP and Telnet

Beside the HTTP access it is possible to protect any TCP-Server as well as the Telnet and FTP access of automation components with the IGW/925. Then the external access is only possible via SSH or VPN tunnel. The implementation of the local servers is done by the IGW/925. All software functions are easily configured with a web based user interface (please see figure above).
