April Sales Offer: Starter Kit eSOM/SK2 - 100% web based!Until the 30. April 2010 SSV offers with the eSOM/SK2 an immediately usable COM system (Computer-on-Module) with 5.7" touchscreen for only EUR 399,-*. For many applications it was necessary so far to develop and maintain at least two different HMI interfaces: one served as on-site interface for the LCD, the other was accessible via LAN interface. The solution for this challenge is the eSOM/9263 for the creation of 100% web based HMI interfaces! PLEASE NOTE: You see, a visit at the SSV stand is it worth anyway...
* All prices without VAT and packaging. This offer is valid as long as stocks last. Delivery quantity reserved. |

Cloud based Visualization ApplicationsVisualization applications in the field-, process- and building automation serve to clearly display the relations in a process chain or a single process. Therefore they are coupled with numerous external data sources. The particular connections between the visualization and these data sources are still based in many applications on OPC (OLE for Process Control - a method for distributed applications on Microsoft DCOM basis from the 1990s). Cloud based concepts which rest upon the established and worldwide accepted HTTP standard would be the better solution in future.

Modbus Server and Client for DNP/2486The Modbus protocol is a communication protocol which grounds on a master/slave resp. client/server architecture. It was developed 1979 in the USA for the communication with programmable logic controllers. Since then Modbus has become a de-facto standard in the industry, because it is an open, robust and easy to establish protocol. The Modbus TCP client/server reference implemantations of the Modbus Organization were integrated in the Linux of the DIL/NetPC DNP/2486 in the meantime. Thus makes it very easy to create Modbus gateways, e.g. for the web based visualization of Modbus-I/Os.

Visit Us at the Hannover Messe 2010Also this year we will show our new products and solutions at the Hannover Messe 2010 from 19. - 23. April in hall 7 / stand A46. Our special topics this year are: 100% Web based: Numerous automation components offer two user interfaces which are independently of each other. One is used by the on-site front panel LCD with buttons or touchscreen. The second HMI interface is connected to Ethernet LAN and allows the remote access with a Web browser. Normally both interfaces were developed with the help of different technologies. This causes high costs. On babsis of our eSOM-200 modules it is now possible to design both HMI interfaces 100% web based. The remote control with a JavaScript-capable Smartphone browser (e.g. Safari on Apple iPhone) is also possible. UMTS Router/Gateway: With the IGW/922-U SSV offers right now a compact and inexpansive UMTS router for DIN-rail mounting. Because of the open Linux platform own applications can be added. The IGW/922-U has three IP-capable interfaces (2x LAN, 1x radio network) which are protected by a firewall. The connection to the UMTS radio network is established with an internal UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA 3GPP modem module. Of course this modem is downward compatible due to a GSM step (Quad Band GSM). So without a UMTS network GPRS resp. EDGE in a class-12-mode can be used for the data transmission. The firmware of the IGW/922-U contains on demand an SSL- or IPsec-VPN. The set-up can be configured via a Web interface. PLEASE NOTE: A visit at the SSV stand is it worth anyway...
