Inside the eSOM/2586 a Vortex86DX SoC (System-on-Chip) works with 800 MHz. The system offers 128 MB SDRAM and 1 GB NAND Flash. Despite its high performance this Embedded PC platform is completely fanless. The eSOM/2586 is delivered with a preinstalled Linux inclusive X-Server and original Sun Java 6 runtime environment (J2SE JRT) within the NAND Flash.

SSV/ECC: Cloud Services for Embedded Systems

Embedded Cloud Computing (ECC) is a promising alternative to 32-bit high performance processors, multicore technology and parallel data processing in Embedded Systems. A low-cost micro controller of medium performance directly at the data source and an IP-based connection to the Internet together with a Web-based cloud service is already sufficient, to solve very complex tasks.

System Configuration via Touch Screen

The touch panel systems EUI/57V and OTP/57V are delivered now with a preinstalled Java-based configuration tool: the Java Config Tool 57V.

This tool is completely usable with the touch screen and allows extensive system, network, CAN and RS232 settings. Furthermore the Java Config Tool 57V offers an integrated CAN sniffer. It helps developing own applications and displays any CAN telegrams on the 5.7" TFT LCD.

Internal Data Base for Smart Metering Applications

The MGW/920 is primary used as an IP gateway for metering data. For this reason we refined in the last months our software with regard to M-Bus-based smart metering applications.

Outright the MGW/920 can be delivered with an internal data base and a Web interface. Thus it is possible to cache M-Bus data from up to 10 M-Bus meters into the internal data base and to visualize this data with tables or diagrams on the Web interface.
