Special Offer: Embedded User Interface Starter Kit

The Embedded User Interface Starter Kit consists of a Vortex86DX-based Computer-on-Module (CoM) e-SOM/2586 with 128 MB SDRAM and 1 GB NAND Flash.

The CoM is mounted on a base board directly behind a 5.7" VGA TFT LCD with touch screen and is delivered with a pre-installed Embedded Linux including an X Server and original Sun Java runtime environment (J2SE JRT) with Swing support. The Starter Kit contains also a CD-ROM with an Eclipse IDE for developing and testing graphic-based Java applications.

SSV wins "Product of the Year 2009"

For the 11th time the editors of the trade magazine "Elektronik" have determined the most attractive products in ten different categories with a reader poll.

In the category "Automation" SSV has won the first price with the WLAN extension board E2W/ESL1 for the DIL/NetPC ADNP/9200. So the E2W/ESL1 is in the prospect of the ELEKTRONIK readers one of the most innovative and interesting products of the year.

DNP/9200 Router Application Kit (RAK) with ZigBee

The DIL/NetPC DNP/9200 Router Application Kit (RAK) is right now available with a ZigBee mesh networking modem (DNP/9200RAK1-Z).

The connection between the modem and the DNP/9200 is established via the COM2-UART. The modem is controlled by AT modem commands. With this configuration very powerful gateways between ZigBee PANs (PAN = Personal Area Network) and Ethernet-based IP networks can be created.

Internet Workshop about Meter Data Gathering

The MGW/920 is a powerful platform for the gathering of energy consumption data in the company-, building- and industry automation. But the development of own applications requires some special knowledge.

From Q2/2009 we offer an Internet workshop for system integrators about the MGW/920. The workshop shows the controlling of M-Bus meters, the creation of a CSV-file with consumption data, the transfer of this file via Intra- or Internet as well as the visualization of the metering data on a PC. The workshop participants will receive C source codes for the M-Bus access and a Java sample for the consumption data visualization.
