Hallo,

welche JVM (am besten Standard-Edition) ist für den ADNP9200 empfehlenswert? Hat da schon jemand Erfahrungen damit gemacht?

Hallo Jörg.

Wir haben leider zur Zeit kein Java Runtime Environment für den ADNP/9200 vorliegen, dass man weitergeben könnte.

Mit Hilfe neuer Produkte wollen wir unsere Unterstützung für Java aber deutlich verbessern. Der nächste DIL/NetPC, der auf den Markt kommt, ist der DNP/2486. Hier wird erstmals unser „Embedded Linux 2.0“ Konzept umgesetzt. Im Linux des DNP/2486 ist ein „Java SE Runtime Environment 1.6.0“ vorinstalliert.

Hallo Philipp.

Das hört sich gut an. Basis ist ja dann wohl die JamVM, die man auch unter

findet. Ich bin jetzt nicht wirklich ein echter Java-Experte. Gehören nicht zu einer JVM auch immer bestimmte Klassenbibliotheken, die sich in eine Konfiguration bzw. ein Profil einordnen lassen? Ich denke da an CLDC, MIDP usw. Da kann man als Entwickler in den entsprechenden JSR-Dokumenten nachlesen, welche Eigenschaften einer Plattform von Java unterstützt werden und welche nicht. Weiterhin kann ich in einer Java-Entwicklungsumgebung auswählen, für welche Zielplattform meine Java-Anwendung sein soll.

Wie ist das beim Einsatz der JamVM? Wie kompatibel zum Standard-Java ist das alles? Auf welche Schnittstellen des ADNP/9200 kann man von Java aus zugreifen?

Hallo Forum.

Auf der Version 1.2 der (A)DNP/9200 2.6 Linux Kernel Upgrade CD-ROM sind jetzt auch die JamVM-Quellen und eine Readme-Datei mit einer Anleitung zu finden.

Diese Java-VM wird inzwischen von mehreren Anwendern auf dem ADNP/9200 genutzt.
