Hallo Zusammen,
ich habe hier ein DNP/2486 auf dem EVA11 Mainboard, BIOS-Version: 06/16/2008 SSV.
Mein Problem ist, dass das Device mittels PXE nicht starten will. Es wird das pxelinux.0 geladen, dann die Konfigurationsdatei pxelinux.cfg/01-02-80-ad-21-10-51 und es wird versucht, das bzImage zu laden. Hier kommt aber nur ein Punkt-Zeichen (Fortschrittsanzeige) zu sehen und auf dem atftp-Server erscheint die Meldung: timeout: retrying...

Die Konfiguration des atftp-Servers auf einem Debian-Lenny sieht wie folgt aus, wobei zum Testzwecken wir der atftpd-Dienst nicht über inetd gestartet.

Das Thema PXE ist für mich nicht neu. Ich habe bereits positive Erfahrungen mit folgenden Mainboards gemacht: EPIA EK, EPIA PD, EPIA M, SBC 84600, SBC84620, VS 2640, VS 2644, 201GLY, D201GLY2, DG945GCLF, KINO-9652, J721G2ES, NF94. Bei allen diesen Mainboards funktioniert das Booten via PXE einwandfrei.
Das Zuvor eingesetzte SSV DNP/1486 setzen wir schon seit mehreren Jahren erfolgreich ein, wobei hier noch das alte ETHER-Boot zum Einsatz kommt. Das Gerät soll jetzt durch das 2486SX ersetzt werden.
Hat Jemand eine Idee, woran es liegen kann? |

Vielleicht harmoniert der RCM-Modus nicht mit dem PXE. Testweise könnte man mal den RCM-Jumper entfernen und am Server im Log schauen, ob es dann weiter als vorher geht.
Ansonsten stellt sich die Frage, wohin im Speicher die Datei bzImage geladen wird. Wird möglicherweise ein Bereich überschrieben, der im DNP/2486 anderweitig benutzt wird? Vielleict kann man etwas mehr (Debug-)Meldungen im PXE anzeigen lassen?
Zuletzt besteht noch die Möglichkeit sich mit Wireshark (ehmals Ethereal) die Pakete anzuschauen, um zu sehen, was dort genau passiert. _________________ Henry Nestler |

gerade habe ich die Information bekommen, dass PXE-Funktion durch die CPU-Platine NICHT unterstützt wird. Schade. |
