Teleservice Gateway MGW/865

The MGW/865 acts as an Internet Service Gateway and enables the simple integration of automation components and subsystems with CAN or RS232 interface into a TCP/IP network. Because its free programmable and offers a preinstalled Embedded Linux with SSL support and SPI firewall the MGW/865 covers many different teleservice tasks.

For the connection with the IP world a 10/100 Mbps Ethernet LAN interface and a wireless modem socket for optional ZigBee, WLAN, GSM/GPRS or UMTS/HSPA radio interfaces are available.

DNP/9265 as Embedded Engine

The heart of the MGW/865 is the  DIL/NetPC DNP/9265 with 32-bit ARM9 processor and a clock speed of 192 MHz. The memory consists of 32 MB NOR Flash and 32 MB SDRAM. With the microSD card slot it is possible to add an SD card for long term data logging.

Numerous Software Functions

The software includes an HTTP/HTTPS Web server with FastCGI, SQLite database, PHP 5.3 with JSON (JavaScript Object Notation), as well as LibGD and Gnuplot for the dynamic generation of graphics. Moreover the MGW/865 offers also different Web client functions, e.g. to transfer any data in XML or JSON format to an external server with the help of an HTTP POST or GET operation. Beyond that an embedded Twitter client is also available. So the MGW/865 is able to create short text messages (tweets) for a Twitter microblog, for instance to inform about state changes.
