SSL/SSH/OpenVPN Gateway IGW/920

With the IGW/920 Linux Device Server for DIN rail mounting, we bring the USB host interface into the switchgear cabinet. The IGW/920 is a compact device server that snaps on to the DIN rail. The device functions as a freely programmable 32-bit Linux computer from the switchgear cabinet or a switchbox directly. The IGW/920 with its open system is ideal for controlling, monitoring, long-term data recording (data logger) and the Ethernet integration of machines and systems, as well making USB devices available across the network.

Thanks to the preinstalled embedded Linux and its full programmability, all the advantages of a vertical integration can be exhausted with the IGW/920, from the management down to the field level. The IGW/920 can, for example, record or visualize data via the integrated Web server fully autonomously.

With the help of the available serial interface, non-Ethernet compatible devices with RS232, RS422, RS485 or USB interfaces can also be integrated in an existing 10/100 Mbps Ethernet network with little effort. Systems separated by far distances can be integrated in an existing industrial Ethernet and be interconnected. Easily accessible screw terminals make it possible to provide the IGW/920 with the industry typical 12-24 VDC input voltage. The system has three definable LEDs that, for example, indicate the operational readiness of the attached cable connections for convenient status monitoring.

The IGW/920 is fanless and specially designed for use in industrial environments. Its compact dimensions of 118 x 90 x 22.5 mm and the simple mounting option on DIN rail make quick and space-saving installation possible. On the software side, the IGW/920 has a preinstalled embedded Linux operating system based on kernel version 2.6.

Protected Connections

Sensitive data is protected by standard encryption methods, such as Secure Shell (SSH) and the integrated SFTP server. In addition, a Web and Telnet server that can be switched off are also available. With such features, the IGW/920 offers extensive security and flexibility in addition to its high performance and compact design, making it ideally suited for tasks such as data acquisition and secure remote access over IP networks.
