Wireless Device Server IGW/400-CAN

Modular Wireless Device Server with two CAN interfaces.

The IGW/400-CAN is a universal wireless CAN-interface to exchange CAN data in a flexible and efficiently way. In much cases the connectivity between CAN-networks and a TCP/IP network is required in distances between 10 and 100 m. For this fields of use we have designed the Wireless Device Server IGW/400-CAN. Due to its implemented data protocol TCP/IP resp. UDP-Protocol (User Datagram Protocol), data can be transmitted even through the internet or into a local area network. After the connection via UDP or TCP/IP is established, CAN-messages can be transmitted to various participants.

The communication of the IGW/400-CAN can take place in two different ways: 1. In the infrastructure mode were the data transmission is established via one or more access points or 2. in the Ad-hoc mode. In this mode it is possible to connect the IGW/400-CAN directly e.g. with a PC or PDA which is equipped with a wireless LAN interface.
